How do you stretch leather on a leather headrest?
I have a convertible and the leather wrapping on the rear headrests have shrunken a little bit, exposing the white plastic beneath. They were like this when I bought the car and it looks terrible (it's got to be from the over exposure to direct sunlight along with the owner not treating the leather). What is the best way to stretch them back so they cover the headrest? I am thinking some sort of pliers after I "treat" the leather or something but I have no idea. I am about to sell the car and want to do it myself. Thanks for any help/ideas.
Use heat... like a heat gun, or a blow dryer... this softens the leather up enough to make it more "workable". - Good Luck! See More
Can I use leather protector designed for shoes on a leather jacket?

I need to protect it from the rain etc and I can't seem to find any protector specifically for leather clothing in the stores, Thanks! That looks like the sort of thing but I am in the UK and was hoping to find something available in stores over here....Thanks for your help though.

How do I know if my couch has bycast leather or just leather?
We have a sectional that may have bycast leather trim, as opposed to leather trim. Is there a good product that I can use to maintain it that would work well on both? If I treat it as leather, but it's not, will the leather treatment products harm the bycast leather? We were told that it was leather trim when we purchased the couch, but have since seen one just like it online that says it is bycast leather.
Use Leather Protect on both it will not harm the Bicast in fact it will do it good. You need to clean and protect it like leather ... See More

How do I make the leather soft on my full grain leather leather shoes?
I have a pair of full grain leather shoes, and I have tried just about everything to make them soft. I have another pair of the same shoe but for some reason the other pair is much softer. I have tried soaking them in water, using chelsea leather food (a conditioner), walking around in them for many days in a row, but for some reason they are not as soft as I would like them to be. Any suggestions on making them really soft without damaging the leather? Thanks
You can't make leather "softer" except by buying shoes with thinner (and shorter-lived) leather. The water process probably did you more ... See More

How can I clean leather jackets and pants without going to dry cleaners?
I have a bunch of leather coats, pants, ect, mostly black, some brown, a few sand/tan, and one pink, some have smooth surface, some have the fuzzy surface. I would like to clean them but I don't want to take them to dry cleaners. Are there things I can buy to clean them myself? I heard there is some kind of home-dry-clean thing that you put in the dryer with the clothes that need to be dry cleaned, and that when it is done, the clothes are dry cleaned. Is there something out there that would allow people to clean leather at home, either in the dryer or by hand? Is it bad for the health, if it is some chemical? Also, what is the leather conditioner? And how does it work? Can it be done at home? Where to get it? Lastly, how do they dye the leather pink? my pink fuzzy leather coat needs to be cleaned, and I would also like to dye it pinker if possible. Thank you very much for helping. I alwasy wonder how they clean leather in dry cleaners.
you got to take the leather and roll it up in a ball. then gently massage it while you watch some toob. this gets it all loosened up. ... See More

Leather conditioner darkened the colour of my shoes.Does anyone know if it will return to its origin
Unfortunately my mum took to my brand new $200 shoes with her favourite leather conditioner and it has darkened the leather from a nude colour to light tan. Does anyone know if the original colour will return as the conditioner dries out? Or how long this will take? Please help!

Is it OK to carry a leather handbag while wearing a leather jacket?
I'm planning to wear a cropped dark-brown leather jacket for a night on the town tomorrow. I have a black leather bag (medium size, shorter straps-carried over the shoulder or on my elbow) that matches my outfit perfectly but I'm wondering if it will be too much leather? (Like denim-on-denim, leather edition.) Please tell me your thoughts!
